Case Study: American Share Insurance Rebrand

American Share strategic marketing materials

Objective

The client contracted with us to conduct a marketing analysis that included one-on-one discussions with their leaders, partners, marketing team and customers. Our research showed that the company was a viable and necessary alternative in the market—but perceptions of their brand and marketing were part of what was holding them back.

Strategy

Following the interviews and additional competitor and industry research, we developed a company mission, vision, values and brand that brought American Share into the 21st century.

Once the brand was finalized, we applied it to a variety of print, digital and tradeshow materials to create a campaign that addressed the main concern of their member credit unions: not having control over their business. We also overhauled their website and identified creative opportunities for American Share to amplify their message through thought leadership.

In addition to the branding materials and strategy, we planned and managed their social media strategy for approximately four months while educating and training them on the use of social media for business.

Results

The client gained new primary business representing over $800 million in credit union revenue for 2016—their best year since 2004.

During the period we managed their social media, their followers grew by 567% on Twitter, 28% on Facebook and 52% on LinkedIn.
